Publishing is Dead (Tripe Pickers Journal)

People with long memories (and big brains) will remember an SF fanzine called 'Tripe Pickers Journal', published intermittently in the 1970s. What a crazy, hazy summer that was. The summer of love. Or was that 1990? (Meanwhile, in 2007, this author decided publishing was over, dead. People are just keeping up.)

About Me

Mike Scantlebury
Salford, Greater Manchester
Mike Scantlebury is a name I inherited and just about sums me up. The first bit is something I had to change, and insist people knew me by. The last bit is something I have been handed down by my Cornish ancestors. The Cornish have recently been recognised by the European Union as an ethnic minority, an honour we share with Corgi dogs and dachshunds.I always welcome questions about my private life, as it gives me a chance to exercise my imagination. Most days that's what I do - make stuff up - and doing new projects is a break from the habitual ones. Also, writing and authoring is a step up from previous employment - stunt man, chocolate maker, tree painter and exotic dancer (see photo - it's why they used to call me 'Magic Mike'). Seriously - Well, I'm not that serious, actually
